If you are a developer and programmer, you can be able to quickly view content or source codecontained in source code file, without having to open the file in the default viewing resource of Visual Studio, especially if you receive the file with the source code of the attachment by e-mail to view it.

In Windows Vista and Microsoft Office Outlook 2007, there is a built-in preview function , which can display content for the most common file types, you can also expand the preview with the possibility of unsupported file types by adding modules with a custom view handler. However, if you just want to be able to preview the code of C #, Visual Basic, and C ++ files (with the extension .cs, .vb, .cpp, and .h), here is a simple trick to install file viewer for these sources without installation.
By default, Windows Vista and Office 2007 come with a Microsoft Windows TXT view handler, which handles the viewing of TXT file text. However, the preview windows of the TXT handler can process more file types than it is actually registered in by default support, since nothing in the present handler limits its operation only with text files with the extension. TXT, and does not allow it to work with text files with other extensions.
As you know, C #, Visual Basic, and C ++ have source code for files with extensions .cs, .vb, .cpp, and .h. as well as a text file, which is fully supported by Windows handler Previewer TXT. However, Windows Vista and Outlook 2007 do not register a combination of these file types that you can add to view the default view handler in Windows TXT. To enable support for previewing files with the extension .cs, .vb, .cpp and .h. , just copy and paste the text below into a text editor and save it as a file name with the extension .reg. Then double-click the .reg file to merge or paste registry values into the Windows registry.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT .cs shellex <8895b1c6-b41f-4c1c-a562-0d564250836f>]
@ = ”<1531d583-8375-4d3f-b5fb-d23bbd169f22>”
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT .vb shellex <8895b1c6-b41f-4c1c-a562-0d564250836f>]
@ = ”<1531d583-8375-4d3f-b5fb-d23bbd169f22>”
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT .cpp shellex <8895b1c6-b41f-4c1c-a562-0d564250836f>]
@ = ”<1531d583-8375-4d3f-b5fb-d23bbd169f22>”
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT .h shellex <8895b1c6-b41f-4c1c-a562-0d564250836f>]
@ = ”<1531d583-8375-4d3f-b5fb-d23bbd169f22>”
After registering, you can view the source code directly from Outlook 2007, even if the file was sent as an e-mail attachment, without having to open the file source code in Visual Studio or another text editor.
